Two tropical cyclones are heading for Australia. TREVOR will intensify into a categorie 4 or even 5 storm and so does VERONICA.
Locally, rain amounts of up to 50 mm/3h are possible. Gusts over 200 kph are expected.
GEBHARD II and HEINZ provide mean winds up to 65 kph and wind gusts up to 105 kph in Great Britain and Central Europe.

IDAI was the strongest cyclone in Mozambique since JOKWE (2008). 339 mm/48h have been registered in Besalampy (MDG). Mean winds up to 180 kph during landfall. more
At the beginning of March several winterstorms swept over Europe and brought severe gale gusts and heavy precipitation. Ironically one of them hit Germany during the carnival parades. Gusts up to 244 kph (FR) were measured. more
